John Terry backed by Ancelotti to shine at South Africa World Cup
17/05/2010
Carlo Ancelotti has stated his faith in a "focused and fit" John Terry for the South Africa World Cup this year.
Terry has been under stress, having lost his captaincy of England due to allegations that were made about his personal life.
But Ancelotti said that despite this, the Chelsea captain has had a good season and remained professional on the field.
He predicted that, at the South Africa World Cup, Terry will be "fantastic".
The Blues boss has also rejected claims that his players are old, pointing out that many are under 30.
One player to speak recently about how he is improving his game as he ages is Wayne Rooney.
He said that while he used to be "excited and emotional", he now expresses his anger in training sessions.
Rooney stated that, at the age of 24, he has "matured, both on and off the pitch".
He has also undergone changes in his personal life since starting his career, having married and become a father.
