Justin Rose keen to partner Ian Poulter at Ryder Cup

Justin Rose has said he is keen to rekindle his partnership with Ian Poulter in front of people with Ryder Cup hospitality tickets

The two Englishmen are close friends and teamed up to together to take on the US in the Ryder Cup back in 2008, a contest which the Americans won by 16.5 matches to 11.5.

While Rose stressed that he is trying to keep the challenge of securing a berth in the European squad to the back of his mind, he expressed his excitement at playing alongside Poulter again in matches watched by fans with Ryder Cup hospitality tickets

"I would love to play with Poults," the world number 16 was quoted by ESPN as saying. "We had fantastic [a] Ryder Cup last time and it would be great to play as a home team."

Rose added that since his recent wins in the Memorial Tournament and AT&T National, he has not yet "taken stock" of whether he is in contention for a place in the Ryder Cup team.
