Keep faith with Morgan, says Michael Vaughan

Michael Vaughan has called for Eoin Morgan to be given an extended run in the England side for matches watched by fans with Test match tickets

The former captain wrote in his column for the Telegraph that the Ireland-born middle-order batsman should get the nod over Jonathan Trott, despite the latter recently scoring an impressive 226 in the Test series with Bangladesh.

According to Vaughan, Morgan could be one of England's key players in the Ashes later this year, provided he gets plenty of experience in front of people with Test match tickets

"He should remain in the Test side against Pakistan, who have a good attack," said Vaughan, who retired from all forms of cricket in June 2009. "The last thing we want is for England to throw him in [to the Ashes side] because we are in trouble."

Morgan has played just two Test matches - both against Bangladesh - and currently averages 40.5 with the bat in the longest form of the game.
