Keep the standards high, says Stuart Broad

10/09/2010

Stuart Broad has called on his team-mates to continue their good form in limited overs cricket in the England v Pakistan ODI series.

The pace bowler said it is important for the side to maintain their momentum, as this will assist their preparations for the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup.

In an interview with ICC Cricket World, the Nottinghamshire star claimed England are in "a really good place" at the moment, having beaten the tourists 2-0 in the Twenty20 campaign earlier this week.

However, he expressed his desire to "keep the standards high" in the five-match England v Pakistan ODI series, which kicks off today (September 10th 2010) in Durham.

"The Twenty20 games ... have shown a good insight into the form we have been showing in the white ball game and it is important that we continue that into the 50-over stuff," he stated.

Broad has made 68 ODI appearances for England, taking 113 wickets at an average of 26.
