Andy Flower believes that Kevin Pietersen is desperate to impress fans with ODI tickets
The South Africa-born star has failed to add to his current tally of 20 half centuries in 50-over cricket in his past 16 matches, although he still has a healthy average of 42.71 despite this poor stretch.
England coach Flower has stressed he does not think that the powerful batsman is in poor form and instead attributed Pietersen's failure to post a big score for so long down to his decision making.
Furthermore, the Zimbabwean said his number three is eager to bring his lean streak in front of fans with ODI tickets
"He wants to be a game-changer and a match-winner," Flower commented. "I don't think it is a matter of him coming back into form - it is just a matter of him being able to stay long enough at the crease."
