Kyle Walker praised for England show
16/11/2011
Tottenham defender Kyle Walker was one of three young players singled out by England coach Fabio Capello for praise after England followed Saturday's friendly win over Spain with another 1-0 victory, this time against Sweden last night (November 15th).
England's first triumph over the Scandinavians since 1968 came thanks to an own goal but Capello was delighted with the performance of some of the young players on show.
Walker was praised along with Jack Rodwell of Everton and Manchester United's Phil Jones.
The Italian told the BBC: "They are really good technically, really good physically and all three are fast. This is important in modern football."
Fans enjoying Premier League hospitality at White Hart Lane may want to see Walker in action for themselves as he plays his part in the revival of Tottenham following their bad start to the season.
Spurs play their next match at home to Aston Villa on Monday (November 21st) having won every league game since August, apart from a draw at still-unbeaten Newcastle.
