Twenty20 tickets news: Fast bowler Finn gets England call up
04/03/2010
Steven Finn has said he hopes his time with the England squad will stand him in good stead for his appearances in front of fans with Twenty20 tickets this season.
The Middlesex fast bowler has been called out to Bangladesh to provide cover to England's bowling unit, after Ryan Sidebottom and Stuart Broad both suffered injuries.
He received the call after impressing selectors by taking two for 25 in England Lions' victory over the full ODI side in the United Arab Emirates last month, during which he picked up the wickets of Matt Prior and Joe Denly.
The 20-year-old was realistic about his chances of making the full side and said he will look to take advantage of the opportunity.
Finn said: "The opportunity alone to train with the squad and impress in front of the coaching team is a fantastic enough experience for me.
"I intend to work as hard as I can and enjoy the experience."
Middlesex fans with Twenty20 tickets for the July 8th 2010 clash with Surrey Lions at the Brit Oval are likely to hope that the pace bowler comes back an even stronger player.
