Wimbledon VIP tickets news: Kim Clijsters hopes to show more 'killer instinct'

Kim Clijsters has suggested she will need to play with more "killer instinct" if she is to be successful in front of tennis fans with Wimbledon VIP tickets.

The former world number one lost out to Russian Alisa Kleybanova 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (7-4) in the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.

After struggling in the opening exchanges, Clijsters stormed through the second set and looked to be cruising to victory in the third when she had her opponent 3-0 behind.

But Kleybanova fought back to take the set to a match-deciding tie-break, which Clijsters again threw away after opening up a 4-0 lead.

Speaking after her exit, the Belgian star said she needs to regain her old match sharpness if she is to succeed in front of fans with Wimbledon VIP tickets and in other events.

She told AFP: "I just have to have that little bit of killer instinct back and try to just finish it off when I have my chances."

Clijsters only came out of retirement last year, having quit the sport for two years following a spate of injuries.
