Martin Johnson will not ring the changes for Samoa clash
27/09/2010
Fans with Twickenham tickets for the England v Samoa clash are unlikely to see too many new faces in Martin Johnson's side, the team manager has indicated.
Samoa are viewed as the weakest opposition in the four-match autumn internationals series, in which England will also face off against Australia, unbeaten Tri-Nations winners New Zealand and world champions South Africa.
However, Johnson said he will resist the temptation to put out an experimental 15 against the South Sea Islanders when they meet England in front of fans with Twickenham tickets on November 20th 2010.
"We've got to give some guys some opportunities, but you also have to let the team get some consistency on the field and they get that from playing together," he was quoted by ESPN Scrum as saying.
The two sides have not met since the 2007 Rugby World Cup, in which England came out 44-22 winners, thanks in part to two tries from former captain Martin Corry.
