Matthew Rees ruled out of Six Nations clash
01/02/2012
Wales will be without the injured Matthew Rees for their opening Six Nations game against Ireland.
The Scarletts hooker has been ruled out for two weeks with a calf injury, which means he will not be involved at the Aviva Stadium this Sunday (February 5th).
At this stage, there have been no replacements called up to the 37-man Welsh squad, with the team set to be announced on Friday.
Fans planning to enjoy hospitality packages at the Aviva Stadium for Six Nations games may be excited by the Irish move of naming their side several days before the clash.
It contains three changes from the side that played Wales in the World Cup, with Paul O'Connell leading the side out as stand-in captain in place of the injured Brian O'Driscoll.
Uncapped Peter O'Mahony may make his debut for the home side if he is called off the replacements bench during the match.
