The MCC's World Committee has called for life bans for captains, vice-captains or coaches involved in match fixing in international cricket.

It called for such a stringent ban to be imposed following its meeting in Cape Town this week to discuss various issues in the sport.

The committee listed ten recommendations to the ICC Anti-corruption Unit, which included better education for players about the issues and the use of sting operations to catch suspects.

However, it rejected calls for lie-detector tests.

The MCC committee also called for a uniform policy on the decision review system and for the international calendar to be orientated more towards Test cricket, saying it was disappointed England's "icon" series against South Africa this summer will only comprise three Tests.

Fans keen to enjoy hospitality packages in the series may wish to do so at Lord's in the final game.

England's last Test appearance at the ground ended in an innings victory to clinch a 4-0 whitewash of India.
