Mitchell Johnson back in Australia squad
11/05/2012
Australian fast bowler Mitchell Johnson has been recalled to the national squad for the upcoming tour of England, which includes five one-day internationals.
The left-armer had slipped out of contention after his wayward bowling contributed to Australia's loss in the 2010-11 Ashes series and a crop of young fast bowlers emerged.
However Johnson, who is a useful lower order batsman with a Test century to his name - has recovered from a foot injury after surgery and will be hoping to prove a point in England.
Fans can enjoy corporate hospitality for the first one-day international at Lord's on June 29th, which might set the tone for the series.
Johnson was famously mocked by the Barmy Army during the series, including a song suggesting that he managed to bowl both to the left and the right.
There is no place in the squad for former captain Ricky Ponting, who accepted last winter that his international one-day career is over.
