Faldo captained Europe's Ryder Cup team two years ago when they were defeated by the Americans. Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, the Englishman claimed he had heard nothing back from Montgomerie after offering to meet with him to discuss tactics.
Speaking after the BMW International Open in Munich, Montgomerie, who captains the European team at this year's Ryder Cup, said he wanted to meet with Faldo.
"You learn from everybody and from every experience in life. I won't leave any stone unturned," he said.
Faldo holds the title as the Ryder Cup's highest point scorer having notched up 25 and has played against the Americans 11 times. Montgomerie wants to capitalise upon his knowledge and experience and still hopes to catch up with him after missing him in Munich.
The US team is to be captained by Corey Pavin when the tournament takes place this October.
