Andy Murray warmed up for the Australian Open with victory at the Brisbane International tournament, his 22nd ATP tour title.

The Scot swept aside Alaxandr Dolgopolov 6-1, 6-3, with the Ukrainian revealing after the match that he was struggling with an injury.

By contrast Murray, who struggled through his early round matches, has shaken off his own injury concerns and said: "I felt like I was moving well right at the end of the week."

It was the ideal start for the world number four ahead of the Australian Open and those booking hospitality packages for Wimbledon this summer may be more optimistic of seeing a British winner after the Dunblane-born player enjoyed such a good start under new coach Ivan Lendl.

Meanwhile, organisers of the Australian Open in Melbourne have revealed the seedings, with Murray fourth in the men's draw.
