ODI tickets news: Ashraful wins Bangladesh recall
30/03/2010
Cricket fans with England v BangladeshODI tickets could be set to see Mohammad Ashraful in action for the Tigers.
The former captain was dropped from the Bangladesh team for England's recent tour of the country, but his chances of making the return trip to the UK may have been boosted by his inclusion in the 15-man squad for the World Twenty20.
If Ashraful can live up to his potential in the Caribbean tournament, it could put him in line to star for his country as they take on England in front of fans with ODI tickets later this year.
The England v Bangladesh 50-over series is set to kick off with a clash at Trent Bridge on July 8th 2010 and will be followed with matches in Bristol on the 10th and at Edgbaston two days later.
Rafiqul Alam, the Tigers' chairman of selectors, expressed confidence that the powerful middle-order batsman has plenty to offer in the shorter forms of the game.
"Ashraful is a potential match-winner and his ability to improvise in limited-overs cricket makes him an important part of the team," he said.
