ODI tickets news: Changing room is fully behind Strauss, says Broad

Stuart Broad has sided with Andy Flower in stating that Andrew Strauss is the right man to lead England in matches watched by fans with ODI tickets.

The pace bowler was rested from the international set up for the 2-0 Test series victory over Bangladesh, but is widely expected to return to the side for the forthcoming fixtures against Pakistan and Australia.

In an interview with Sky Sports News, the 23-year-old Nottinghamshire star said that the whole England team is united in its support for Strauss as captain in 50-over cricket.

"There's no doubt in the changing room that he fits that role perfectly," Broad stated. "He's very confident in his one-day cricket and all of his players are in his ability."

His comments come after head coach Flower revealed that Strauss will continue to lead the side in games watched by people with ODI tickets for the foreseeable future.

The Zimbabwean described his captain as a "fine leader" and said much of England's recent success in limited-overs cricket could be attributed to him.
