'Only a matter of time' before Chris Robshaw holds down England slot

15/07/2010

Conor O'Shea has backed Chris Robshaw to secure a regular starting berth for England in future matches watched by fans with Twickenham tickets

The Harlequins back rower impressed as Martin Johnson's midweek captain during the recent tour to the southern hemisphere, with his side coming home with a win, a loss and a draw from their encounters with the Australian Barbarians and New Zealand Maori.

Despite this, Robshaw missed out on a place in the England Elite Player Squad and has instead had to content himself with a demotion to the Saxons.

Harlequins director of rugby O'Shea said that regardless of this setback, he is certain Robshaw will eventually be able to run out in front of fans with Twickenham tickets

"It is a matter of time before he'll be there," O'Shea was quoted by the Wandsworth Guardian as saying. "I've no doubt he will nail that shirt down once he gets the chance and people really see what he is capable of."
