Prior sorry for "stupid" window breakage

Rose Bowl hospitality guests attending next week's test match against Sri Lanka may be interested to hear that Matt Prior has described how he felt "stupid" after breaking a window at Lord's.

After retuning to the dressing room after being run out in England's second innings following a mix-up with Ian Bell, the wicketkeeper set his bat down, only to see it bounce off another piece of equipment and shatter the glass in the famous pavilion.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Prior insisted the breakage was a "complete accident" and in no way related to any frustration at the manner of his dismissal.

"Every time I looked up at the pavilion during Sri Lanka's second innings, I just saw this big broken window and I felt stupid more than anything else," he admitted.

Prior received a reprimand for his actions from the match referee, but avoided a fine for the incident.

He had made a century in his first innings of the match, but scored just four in the second before he was run out having only faced two balls.
