Ryder Cup corporate tickets news: McDowell backing Europe for victory

07/06/2010

Fans with Ryder Cup corporate tickets will see the European team romp to victory over their rivals from the US, according to Graeme McDowell.

The Ulsterman struck a final round 63 at the Wales Open yesterday (June 6th 2010) to win the tournament, which took place at the Celtic Manor Resort, the scene for this year's Ryder Cup.

After seeing off local favourite Rhys Williams, the 30-year-old expressed confidence that Colin Montgomery's men will be able to better the US on a course which suits the brand of golf that they play.

"I really think this is the place we will win the Ryder Cup right back," McDowell remarked. "Driving of the golf ball is key around this course. I think we are better drivers of the ball than they are."

Prior to the Wales Open, European captain Montgomery indicated that the winner of the tournament stood a good chance of playing in front of fans with Ryder Cup corporate tickets.
