Simon Dyson has said playing in front of fans with Ryder Cup hospitality tickets in Newport later this year would be the best achievement of his life.
The Yorkshire golfer is currently lying in seventh place in the Ryder Cup points list and a strong showing at this week's US Open could go a long way towards helping him seal a place in the tournament, which takes place between October 1st and 3rd 2010.
He fared well at the recent Wales Open, which took place on the same course that will be used for the clash with the US, posting an impressive 65 in the third round.
Speaking to the York Press, the 32-year-old revealed he will be working hard to win a place in the team to play in front of fans with Ryder Cup hospitality tickets.
"If I played in it then it would be fantastic. It would be the best achievement of my life," Dyson added.
A number of big names are currently sitting below Dyson in the Ryder Cup points list, including Ireland's Padraig Harrington and Miguel Angel Jimenez of Spain.
