Fans enjoying Premier League hospitality at Tottenham games are getting to see performances worthy of the legendary Dave Mackay when Scott Parker plays, according to manager Harry Redknapp.

The Spurs boss heaped praise on his summer midfield signing from West Ham after the 3-1 win over Queens Park Rangers yesterday (October 30th) by making the comparison with the star of the great 1960s team, despite stating he was "reluctant" to do so.

"Scott was magnificent. He won every tackle, never gave the ball away, broke things up - a great all-round display," he said, adding that Parker is the kind of player a side can be built round.

After heavy defeats in their opening two matches of the season, Redknapp swooped for the England midfielder and his side has yet to lose a league game since.

The next Premier League home game for Spurs is against Aston Villa on November 21st.
