England fast bowler Steven Finn has said the upcoming one-day series provides a great chance for young players to stake a claim for a senior place following the Test series debacle.

Youngsters from the England Lions squad have been playing in the spin-friendly conditions of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka this winter and will take on the seniors in a warm-up match, which could help some press their claims.

Finn said: "If you look at Kieswetter and Lumb playing against the England team over here two years ago, soon afterwards they were opening the batting in the Twenty20 World Cup."

Supporters hoping to see a changed England one-day line-up might wish to book hospitality packages for the first 50-over match they play at home this summer, against the West Indies at the Rose Bowl in June.

The ground staged its first Test match last summer against Sri Lanka and will next host a five-day game in 2014, when India are the visitors.
