Stuart Broad backing England to see off Australia

18/06/2010

Stuart Broad believes England will be able to overcome Australia in their forthcoming series that will be watched by people with ODI tickets.

The fast bowler was part of the side for England's victory in the last Ashes series against the Baggy Greens and also played an integral role in beating their old adversaries in the World Twenty20 last month.

With the two sides set to clash in front of fans with ODI tickets in a five-match series which gets underway on June 22nd 2010, Broad said he believes the Aussies are still the team to beat in 50-over cricket.

However, he believes England are far better equipped for success against Australia than they have been in recent years.

"We've changed our one-day cricket around," the Nottinghamshire star explained. "We've got some exciting players and there's no reason why we can't give them a great run for their money."

Broad will be particularly keen to shine in the June 24th England v Australia clash in Cardiff, as the match coincides with his 24th birthday.
