14/09/2010
Tiger Woods will use the next fortnight to make sure Ryder Cup packages customers see him at close to the top of his game.
The world number one failed to qualify for the Tour Championship, which gives him more time to spend practising for his appearance at Celtic Manor between October 1st and 3rd 2010.
While he admitted he would rather be taking part in the Atlanta tournament, Woods said it will be good for him to work away from the spotlight with his new coach Sean Foley.
"I can also work on my short game and my putting, things I have not been able to do out here," the 34-year-old stated. "It'll be nice to concentrate on my game a little bit more, sharpen up and be ready."
US captain Corey Pavin announced Woods will play in front of Ryder Cup packages customers as one of his four wildcard picks, along with Stewart Cink, Rickie Fowler and Zach Johnson.
