Tim Bresnan set to miss tour match

Tim Bresnan is set to miss the opening match of England's tour of the UAE, where they will play Pakistan in a three-match Test series.
The seamer, who had surgery on his elbow late last year, sat out a training session after feeling discomfort and has been described as unlikely to play in the match against the ICC Combined Associate and Affiliate XI, starting on Saturday (January 7th).
It could mean a way back into the side for Steven Finn or Christ Tremlett, both of whom were on the sidelines as England wrapped up their 4-0 Test series win against India at the end of last summer.
England have won all eight Tests in which Bresnan has played so far and fans seeking hospitality packages at his home ground of Headingley for next summer's Test against South Africa may be very keen for him to play both now and in that game in August.
Pakistan have been in good form over the winter, winning a Test series 2-0 in Bangladesh after a 1-0 series victory in the UAE against Sri Lanka.
