Tremlett calls for tough pitches to test India
Lord's hospitality guests attending the England v India test later this month may be interested to hear a call from Chris Tremlett for the ground staff to prepare a lively pitch to trouble the visiting batsmen.
The fast bowler believes that with England boasting one of the world's tallest attacks, with himself, Stuart Broad and Steven Finn all well above six feet, they can find pace and bounce to give the Indians problems, Cricinfo reports.
"I think that it's important when you are playing in your home Test matches that you should be able to produce the conditions you want," he told the news provider.
Tremlett, who won the Man of the Series award for the recent contest against Sri Lanka after recording career-best figures of 6-48 at the Rose Bowl, added England will have to be patient when going up against the likes of Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar if they are to find success.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that Stuart Broad will lead England for tomorrow's (June 25th) Twenty20 match against Sri Lanka after shaking off an injury scare.
