Tremlett 'puzzled' by India's DRS stance

14/06/2011

Lord's hospitality guests who may be disappointed to hear the Decision Review System (DRS) will not be in use for the England v India series could be interested to hear Chris Tremlett's thoughts on the subject.

The paceman admitted he has no idea why the Indian side are so resistant to the implementation of the technology, which can be used to challenge the decisions of the umpire if the players feel it is incorrect.

"I am a fan of the system. If the technology is there it should be used," Tremlett said, adding it is a "fair way of doing things".

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has stated it is not satisfied with the accuracy of the DRS technology and has refused to approve the use of it throughout their side's summer tour of England.

However, Tremlett said he is confident that England can beat the visitors, who are currently the number one ranked side in the world, without the aid of the technology.
