Twenty20 tickets news: Bowlers help England see off New Zealand
12/05/2010
England's bowlers showed fans with Twenty20 tickets the effectiveness of a strong bowling attack when they saw off New Zealand by three wickets in St Lucia.
Gareth Hopkins and Jesse Ryder, two of New Zealand's eight batsmen, were bowled out by Stuart Broad and Tim Bresban respectively. Brendon McCullum, Scott Styris, Ross Taylor and Aaron Redmond were bowled and caught out thanks to strong cricket from the English side.
Both Broad and Graeme Swann took two New Zealand wickets during the attack while Bresnan and Ryan Sidebottom secured one apiece.
Pakistan's earlier victory over South Africa had already ensured England a place in the semi-final prior to the match, but the victory will still serve as a confidence booster as Paul Collingwood's men head into the last four.
Kevin Pietersen missed the match to be at the birth of his son but he is expected to be back in the West Indies before the May 13th 2010 semi-final.
