Twenty20 tickets news: Davies hits debut ton for Surrey Lions
06/04/2010
Stephen Davies will hope he can continue the form he showed in his Surrey debut when he features in the Lions' campaign in front of fans with Twenty20 tickets.
The opening batsman struck an unbeaten 122 on his first appearance for the county against Cambridge MCCU, helping Surrey post 385 for 7 on the second day of the four-day contest.
Despite the length of the match, Davies may have had the shorter form of the game on his mind, as he moved to three figures having faced only 104 balls.
The impressive debut performance may auger well for Surrey Lions as they compete in front of fans with Twenty20 tickets later this season.
Their 20-over season gets underway at home to Gloucestershire Gladiators on June 8th 2010, followed two days later by a clash with Essex Eagles.
Veteran Lions batsman Mark Ramprakash also got his season underway in fine style after hitting a century against the Emerging Cape Cobras during the county's recent tour of the United Arab Emirates.
