Twenty20 tickets news: Kevin Pietersen fires England to victory over Pakistan
07/05/2010
Kevin Pietersen's match-winning performance in England's clash with Pakistan may inspire fans to purchase Twenty20 tickets for the rematch on UK soil.
The South Africa-born batsman pummelled 73 from just 52 deliveries in the May 6th 2010 World Twenty20 encounter to guide England home with three balls to spare, after restricting their opposition to a below-par 147.
Salman Butt top-scored for Pakistan with 34, but following his dismissal by Graeme Swann the innings threatened to grind to a halt and only some late hitting from Saeed Ajmal helped them to post a defendable target.
But with openers Michael Lumb and Craig Kieswetter each reaching 25 and Pietersen looking close to his best, England made relatively light work of the chase to record a six-wicket victory.
Pakistan and England will meet again in Cardiff on September 5th and 7th for a two-match series which will be watched by fans with Twenty20 tickets.
The two teams will also contest four Test matches and five One Day Internationals this year.
