Twenty20 tickets news: Matt Prior dropped from England squad
31/03/2010
Matt Prior's chances of appearing in front of fans with international Twenty20 tickets have suffered a blow after he was omitted from England's squad for the shortest form of the game.
He has been left out of the 15-man World Twenty20 squad to tour the Caribbean from the end of April, with South Africa-born Craig Kieswetter the only wicketkeeper to be included.
It could knock the all-rounder's chances of appearing in front of fans with Twenty20 tickets for games such as the England v Pakistan match in Cardiff on September 5th 2010.
Batsmen Michael Yardy and Ravi Bopara have made a return to the squad for the international tournament, with the likes of Owais Shah and Jonathan Trott also left out.
National selector Geoff Miller said he had helped to pick a balanced squad which has been chosen with West Indian surfaces and conditions in mind.
"There's no reason we can't perform well in what will be a challenging global tournament," he added.
