Twickenham hospitality news: New injury worry for Mike Tindall
29/03/2010
Mike Tindall's chances of sustaining his current impressive form and retaining his place in the England team for future matches in front of fans with Twickenham hospitality tickets have been dealt a potential blow.
The centre impressed in his recall to the Three Lions starting line up in the final Six Nations encounter against France and would have been hopeful of keeping the number 13 shirt for the England v Barbarians clash on May 30th 2010.
But he was forced off with a groin injury just minutes into club side Gloucester's 19-0 victory over Premiership strugglers Leeds Carnegie this weekend (March 27th).
It is the latest in a series of knocks picked up by the former Bath player this season, although head coach Bryan Redpath moved to reassure fans that it is nothing to do with his previous injuries.
Redpath said: "It is unrelated to his hamstring injury. He just doesn't seem to have any luck with Gloucester."
Tindall is now almost certain to miss his side's mid-week clash with Newcastle Falcons.
