Twickenham tickets news: Danny Cipriani hopeful over his England future
29/04/2010
Danny Cipriani still hopes to pull on an England shirt and play in matches watched by people with Twickenham tickets in the future.
The Wasps stand-off is leaving Adams Park at the end of the season to join Australian outfit Melbourne Rebels, a decision which many pundits have said will put his England career in doubt.
Although he acknowledged that the move may appear to outsiders that he is turning his back on the national side, Cipriani said he still wants to represent England and claimed running out in front of fans with Twickenham tickets is the best feeling in rugby.
"Playing for England is what I want to do, it's what drives me," he told the Mirror.
The 22-year-old added that the move down under will improve his game and compared Rebels boss Rod Macqueen to England's World Cup winning coach Clive Woodward.
Despite this, the switch is unlikely to improve his chances of winning a recall to the England side, with the likes of Jonny Wilkinson and Toby Flood currently ahead of him in the pecking order.
