Twickenham tickets news: Riki Flutey agrees return to Wasps
23/04/2010
Riki Flutey will hope his return to Wasps from Brive can help him continue to play in games watched by fans with Twickenham tickets.
The England centre left the London outfit at the end of last season to join French Top 14 side Brive, but has struggled to make an impact across the Channel after a string of injuries.
According to Wasps, Flutey will need shoulder surgery which would keep him out of England's summer tour of the southern hemisphere and could jeopardise his chances of playing future matches in front of fans with Twickenham tickets.
He will be hoping the move back to Wasps, the club he played for between 2007 and 2009, brings him better fortune.
Tony Hanks, director of rugby at Adams Park, welcomed the move and described Flutey, who can also play at fly-half, as a "very special player".
"His professionalism is something that has always impressed us and we are looking forward to the impact he will make both on and off the field within the squad," Hanks added.
