Wimbledon tickets news: Can hard work help Andy Murray recover form?

26/04/2010

Andy Murray has backed his work ethic to get him back into form before he takes to the court in front of fans with Wimbledon tickets.

The world number five has not been at his best in recent tournaments, crashing out at the first time of asking in both the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami and the Monte Carlo Masters, without winning a set in either match.

But going into the Rome Masters, Murray said he has been putting the hours in during training and believes he is mentally stronger as a result.

He backed this approach to help him get back to his peak before he appears in front of fans with Wimbledon tickets later this year, saying: "If I spend a lot of time in the gym … and a lot of time on the courts, it helps me in matches."

His chances of success in Italy may be boosted by the fact that his half of the draw avoids both Rafael Nadal and world number one Roger Federer, while Juan Carlos Ferrero has already been knocked out by Santiago Giraldo.
