Wimbledon tickets news: Rafael Nadal dominant in Rome Masters second round
29/04/2010
Rafael Nadal's dominant second-round victory in the Rome Masters will come as a warning to his rivals as they prepare to play in front of fans with Wimbledon tickets this summer.
The defending champion eased through his first match at this year's Italian event, seeing off Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight sets to record an easy 6-1, 6-3 victory.
With his opponent looking in ominous form, Kohlschreiber was a shadow of the player who saw off Andy Murray in the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters earlier this month.
Nadal acknowledged that neither he nor the German were at their best in the match, suggesting that there could be more to come from the world number three before he plays in matches watched by fans with Wimbledon tickets.
"[Kohlschreiber] made more mistakes than usual which helped me a little bit but my serve was working very well," the Spanish star said.
He will now face Victor Hanescu of Romania in the third round later today (April 29th 2010).
