14/05/2010
Roger Federer has told fans with Wimbledon tickets that they have yet to see the best of him.
The world number one has won 16 major titles and is frequently branded by pundits as the greatest player of all time, but he has revealed in an interview with BBC Sport that he feels his best tennis is "just around the corner".
Despite having a tough few months since beating Andy Murray in the final of the Australian Open, the Swiss star has said he still has a lot of love for the game.
"It's a lot of fun right now and I obviously want to do this as long as possible," Federer said.
Speculation has abounded in the press that he is planning to retire after the 2012 Olympics, but he moved to reassure his fans that this is not the case, saying: "It's just not something I'm even in the mood to think about."
Tennis enthusiasts keen to see Federer in action can still purchase Wimbledon tickets through Keith Prowse ahead of the event, which gets underway on June 21st 2010.
