World Cup tickets: USA's Altidore relishing England meeting
06/04/2010
Football fans with World Cup tickets will see a fired-up USA side take on England, according to Jozy Altidore.
The USA striker, who is currently on loan at Hull City, said his team-mates cannot wait to take on the Three Lions at the South Africa World Cup in Rustenburg on June 12th 2010.
Altidore and the rest of the USA side will have fond memories of South Africa after their success in last year's Confederations Cup, where they overcame the likes of Spain.
They were 45 minutes away from winning the tournament, but lost a two-goal lead over Brazil in the second half of the final and were eventually beaten 3-2.
Having gone toe-to-toe with some of the best sides in the world, the 20-year-old has said the USA are not afraid of facing any other team - and England are no exception.
"We're capable of beating anybody and there's no team in the world that can beat us easily," Altidore said. "We're up to the challenge - and the English will realise that when we meet them."
