Atherton leads corporate hospitality charge
Keith Prowse chef bags another Michelin star ahead of RBS 6 Nations.
Keith Prowse, the UK’s leading hospitality provider, has welcomed news that its headline Twickenham chef, Jason Atherton, has received a Michelin star for his Pollen Street Social restaurant.
Following the new accolade for the London eatery, Keith Prowse has seen a surge in corporate hospitality booking enquiries for the 2012 RBS 6 Nations at Twickenham. England face Wales on Saturday 25th February and Ireland on Sunday 17th March as they seek to defend their title.
Atherton, a Gordon Ramsey protégé, has been brought in to create the dining experience for the St George’s Suite at the home of English rugby.
The news marks a positive end to 2011 for both Atherton, who saw Pollen Street Social come second in the National Restaurant Awards category for the UK’s Best Restaurant, and the UK’s corporate hospitality sector, with Keith Prowse reporting Twickenham St George’s Suite packages for the first two games of the 2012 RBS 6 Nations are sold out over 3 months in advance.
The St George’s Suite is one of Keith Prowse’s flagship entertaining options at the ground, combining the excitement of interaction with former greats such as Joe Worsley and Raphael Ibanez with fine dining unrivalled at Twickenham Stadium.
The rugby celebrities guide guests through the day offering pre and post game analysis - a format which is intended to reinforce Keith Prowse’s pioneering range of experiential hospitality. Other groundbreaking offerings have included The Speakeasy at Wimbledon, which offers a playing and coaching session with former champion Pat Cash, and the Players’ Lounge at Twickenham, which sees players field questions from corporate hospitality guests, fresh from the pitch.
Ted Walker, Head of Marketing at Keith Prowse said: “We believe Jason Atherton’s involvement at Twickenham this year has contributed to the increase in corporate hospitality sales ahead of the RBS 6 Nations. His Michelin star for Pollen Street Social is richly deserved and we can’t wait to see what he has planned for the St George’s Suite menu.”
