Across a wide spectrum of venues that include, but aren’t limited to Villa Park, Brentford and Reading FC , we diary manage meeting spaces on non-match days to optimize revenue potential. The successful candidate will work alongside a high performing regional sales team and ‘shared marketing service team’, providing marketing insight, support and activation as needed in support of a pre-agreed annual plan.

Overall Purpose of the Role

  • Turnaround quality work, with emphasis on brand, copy, pricing consistency and accuracy in a timely manner. Be brand champions across the conference and event portfolio of venues
  • InDesign user - production of a wide range of templates and collateral in the form of sales literature, promotions, e-shots and digital content
  • Website maintenance (Umbraco) ensuring that each venue’s shop window remains current. Tasks will include day-to-day content management and creation, refreshing images etc. Proactively make recommendations to enhance the customer journey
  • Owner of new website projects and managing the day to day relationship with our third-party supplier
  • Create written pieces as needed to maximise SEO across all channels, ensuring that keywords are always front of mind
  • Develop a robust set of on-brand templates within our email platform (Dotdigital) – email, forms and reporting – differentiate by audience as needed. Develop a robust approach to obtaining customer feedback (surveys and forms)
  • Proactive contributor to all social media channels - in line with defined strategy - tracking and measurement
  • Build relationships with Sales teams and onsite marketing teams and working as part of the ‘shared marketing services’ develop ideas and experiences to both achieve and enhance the C&E marketing goals
  • Involvement with new mobilisation of venues & executing the key marketing tasks/plans
  • Produce monthly reports as needed, but as a minimum to represent key achievements (shared with internal and external stakeholders

Person Specification

  • 2+ years of B2B marketing experience, CIM/Degree level qualification desirable – knowledge of B2C would
  • be advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer literate with a working knowledge of digital systems
  • Ability to interact with confidence across a wide range of stakeholders
  • A working knowledge of DPA and GDPR would be advantageous
  • Self-motivated and a team player


  • Approachable and flexible attitude, especially in relation to working hours, which if attending events and/or
  • visiting client sites could encompass evenings and weekends
  • Team orientated focus
  • A ‘can do, will do’ attitude
