Twickenham's New East Stand: The East Wing

July 27, 2018

 The East Wing

Luxurious surroundings, superior service, fantastic views …. The East Wing is the ultimate in Twickenham Stadium’s hospitality

If you’ve not heard about the exciting changes and the story behind the concepts of home and rugby, check out our East Stand piece.

How was the name derived?

Home: a part of a large building that protrudes out from the main part, often having been added at a later date.

Rugby: the wing or wingers (No. 11 and No. 14) are generally positioned on the outside of the back line.  Their primary function is to finish off moves and score tries.

Located on level 4A in the new East Stand, with premium views, access to the East Wing will be via dedicated, VIP lifts located in the main lobby.  Upon arrival, the concierge team will meet and greet and ensure a quick and efficient entry into the facility.

Direct access from the suite to your seat ensures a flexible entertaining experience. Whether you’re in a group of two or ten (note that semi-private suites for 16, 20 and 30 are also available) and looking for an informal, relaxed lounge, or a more formal private table setting, The East Wing will exceed all your expectations. Enjoy a spacious and luxurious member’s club environment, overlooking Twickenham’s hallowed turf.  Flooded with natural light, its dual-aspect vista takes in the pitch, and the skyline of West London.

It’s all in the detail

In keeping with the ‘home’ premise of a tacked on, but grand and decadent space, expect to see an eclectic, quality mix.  From a large entranceway chandelier, to lush velvet curtains, button back fireside and tufted leather chairs and a smattering of rugby memorabilia and artefacts to compliment the pitch views.  The bar will be polished and cool to the touch; getting and retaining the right beer temperature is something we take very seriously!

Your seats

Watch all of the action from East Stand, middle tier seats.  Views are memorable, but don’t take our word for it, let the ‘view from seat’ do the talking.

To eat and to drink

Champagne and cocktails prepared by mixologists are available throughout, as are ales, draft lagers and premium spirits and wine.  Menu is choice and can be tailored to suit requrements on the day – a premium menu served in the lounge or five course tasting menu served at your table.  The day concludes with post-match English tapas and cheese.

What to expect at an experience in The East Wing

There will be rugby legends aplenty. If the option to meet, greet and socialise with the good and greats of the game is a must have, then the East Wing is for you. There will be plenty of time to enjoy all of the action, both on and off the pitch, as The East Wing opens three and a half hours pre and two hours post-match. Half-time drinks are served from the restaurant – sup and enjoy from one of the inside or outside terraces.

Time is of the essence – there’s less than 100 days to go until the East Stand opens its doors.

With prices from £1,050, the East Wing is already sold out for New Zealand.  Tables  of ten are sold out for all of the Quilter International fixtures, as are semi-private suites for Australia.  If the East Wing is for you, don’t delay – secure your booking today.
