Introducing our Sister Company: Lime Venue Portfolio

February 4, 2019

Food and beverage, accommodation, entertainment, sport, travel and tourism are all sectors of the hospitality industry, a sector in which Keith Prowse operate. But did you also know events, meeting and conferences are a huge part of the hospitality industry too, and are continuing to grow?

Whether they be focused on product launches, AGM’s, exhibitions or team building, events around the world are generating billions of revenue and prove face-to-face events are still very much alive in the rise of a digital world.

Our sister company, Lime Venue Portfolio, champion the need for face-to face events by matching a portfolio of venues to event bookers needs.

Lime Venue Portfolio launched in 2008 with a handful of venues and since then they’ve become the leading group venue finder for unique venues. Today they are proud to represent over 90 independent venues from all four corners of the UK.

Their diverse venue range is what sets them apart. Castles and zoos sit alongside race courses, stadiums and leading purpose built conference, training and exhibition centres, culminating in a product range unlike any other. What connects all of their venues is Compass UK and Ireland, meaning the food and service standards continuously attract customers who are looking for great food, memorable experiences and something unique they can't find elsewhere.

Where Keith Prowse provide hospitality services for match day consumer events, Lime Venue Portfolio use the event space on non-match days for people to hold their own events. One of the venues we both operate at is Twickenham Stadium, who are preparing to unveil its transformed East Stand.

Twickenham Stadium

The multi-million pound redevelopment offers six floors of creative event space that not only provide new-found match day hospitality options but also offer unexpected and dynamic settings that go far beyond a simple conference or banqueting space.

Events are all about the experience and this is why Lime Venue Portfolio now see event planners, event agencies, brand marketers, PAs or EAs, choosing sporting spaces over traditional venues to host their events. They see many customers holding a business event like a conference, followed by delegates watching the rugby or cricket with hospitality packages.

Jenner Carter, Head of Marketing for Lime Venue Portfolio explains further: “Event Convergence, is when two or more existing events combine to create a higher production, bigger and more all-encompassing super-event. By combining great business events with enjoyable entertainment it generally makes for a more relaxed atmosphere, creating the right environment to have a successful, memorable, business meeting.”

But it isn’t all about the clients. Hospitality events work just as well for internal meetings as incentives and reward programmes. The Kia Oval and Edgbaston Stadium are two cricket grounds which boast roof top space that create a totally different atmosphere to most experiences at sporting venues, particularly at the height of the summer, and can be great venues for summer parties or celebrations for meeting quarterly targets just as much as they can be for networking events or client away days.

Hospitality can also stretch outside the confines of the ‘sporting’ event. Most arenas offer the chance to experience concerts as a VIP, offering suites and boxes which can also be used for hospitality purposes. The O2 offers rooms which feature their own bar and seating area, and a menu that is handpicked by you ahead of the event to ensure the food really hits the spot. This element of personalisation is key to tapping into the ‘experience’ aspect of events that is proving to be extremely important across the industry as a whole, having tailored, personalised and thought-out experiences.

Events and experiences help create a lasting impact and impression on your clients and colleagues alike. So, if you’re looking for a way to re-engage with clients, motivate your team, reward individuals for their success, you should be considering combining your next business meeting with a hospitality package.

We know we’re biased, so take a look at their customer testimonial page to read what others had to say about their Lime Venue Portfolio experience or get in touch with one of the venue search team to see how they can support your next business event:
