Keith Prowse goes behind the scenes with BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Limited Edition: English Estate

May 14, 2019

To celebrate the recent launch of BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Limited Edition: English Estate and as a result of our ongoing partnership with Bacardi Brown-Forman, a small group of Keith Prowse customers recently enjoyed a VIP visit the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® distillery at Laverstoke Mill in rural Hampshire.

A full-day affair, guests were treated to a behind-the-scenes tour of the working distillery, giving an insight into the 1000+ year history and secrets into how the gin is made today. The day culminated in an exclusive cocktail masterclass with a Senior Bombay Sapphire Ambassador where guests exclusively previewed and sampled some of the cocktails that are due to feature on the bar menus in The Lawn this summer.

Sam Carter, Senior Bombay Sapphire Ambassador, hosted the guests throughout the day and commented: “The guests discovered what makes our gin loved all over the world with its unique vapour infusion production process, delicious balanced blend of 10 botanicals, fascinating history and bright fresh & uplifting flavour profile. We tasted and made drinks with both BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® and our brand new Limited Edition gin called ‘English Estate’ which creatively uses extra botanical ingredients inspired by the local Hampshire countryside.”

This summer, tennis fans will be able to enjoy BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® Limited Edition: English Estate in The Lawn. Thanks to Keith Prowse’s ongoing agreement with Bacardi Brown-Forman, they will be stocking all the bars within The Lawn for the duration of The Championships.

True to the theme of “Tennis in an English Garden”, guests in The Lawn will enjoy cocktails such as the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE G&Tea, an imaginative and fruit-filled fusion of a classic English summer cup and a G&T, and the English Garden, a creative expression of BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® English Estate gin with fresh apple, ginger soda, rhubarb and rosehip.

The iconic outdoor garden in The Lawn will be dressed to feature subtle nods to the three new botanicals unique to the limited edition gin: Pennyroyal mint, rosehip and toasted hazelnut, and accented through use of the exclusive print that features on the gin bottles. The designs have been finalised but are being kept closely under wraps until The Lawn opens its doors to guests in just a few weeks.

To experience the newly designed garden this year and enjoy the exclusive cocktails to The Lawn, using the limited edition BOMBAY SAPPHIRE® English Estate, book a hospitality experience at The Lawn.
