The France rugby team are a notably formidable force, routinely going head to head with the UK and Italian teams in the Six Nations Championship and playing impressively – seizing victory outright a grand total of sixteen times. Their first win came in 1954 and they currently stand as the third most victorious nation in the tournament.

France have reached the final of the Rugby World Cup a total of three times, and will also be hosting the prestigious rugby tournament in 2023, having previously hosted in 2007.
