The BRIT Awards 2022 with Mastercard T&Cs

 

The following additional terms and conditions apply to The BRIT Awards held at The O2 Arena in 2022 and have been stipulated by both the event organiser and the venue operator.

BRIT Awards Terms & Conditions

1. These terms and conditions (“Conditions”) and the terms and conditions of The O2, London (the “Venue Conditions”) apply to any and all BRIT Awards 2022 tickets (“Tickets”) to The BRIT Awards 2022 (the “Event”).

2. Any person or entity who purchases, holds or uses a Ticket (“Ticket Holder”) acknowledges and agrees that he or she is subject to the Conditions and to the Venue Conditions.

3. In the event of a breach of the Conditions and/or the Venue Conditions by a Ticket Holder, BAL or its agents may at their sole discretion: (a) cancel the Ticket; (b) render and declare the Ticket void; (c) refuse the Ticket Holder admission to the Event; and/or (d) remove the Ticket Holder from the Event.

4. The Event is organised and Tickets are issued by BRIT Awards Limited, Riverside Building, County Hall, Westminster Bridge Road, London SE1 7JA (“BAL”). The Event is taking place at The O2 London, Peninsula Square, London SE10 0DX (“Venue”).

5. All persons who wish to gain access to the Event must have a valid Ticket.

6. No one under the age of 13 will be admitted to the Event. People between the ages of 13 and 17 years will only be admitted to the Event with an accompanying adult. For the purposes of the Conditions, an adult is a person aged 18 years and over.

7. Once you and your guests have received/collected your Tickets you may also be given a wristband and/or security pass.  You will be required to present your ticket and wristband/security pass device (if applicable) upon your arrival at the Event.  If you are unable to present both your ticket and your wristband/security pass device, you will not be admitted to the Event.

8. By being present at the Event you consent to being filmed and/or recorded. You also agree not to assert any moral (or similar) rights and give all necessary consents under the Copyright Designs and Patents Act 1988 (as amended) and all other applicable legislation in respect of any film and/or recordings.  BAL is entitled to make full use of any film and/or recording in all current and future media worldwide without any liability or payment to you, including permitting others to do the same.

9. If a Ticket is cancelled, declared void or if a Ticket Holder is refused admission or removed from the Event because of a breach of these Conditions or of the Venue Conditions, no money shall be refunded.

10. BAL or its agents shall be entitled, but not obliged, to carry out identity and security checks (including photographic ID checks) upon presentation of the Ticket by a Ticket Holder at the Event. The Ticket Holder who purchased the Tickets (i.e. the credit card holder) must attend the event and accompany of all of his/her guests at the same time. If any Ticket Holder is not on BAL’s list of intended attendees at the Event (as notified to BAL by the person (i.e. the credit card holder) that purchased that Ticket Holder’s Ticket at the time of purchase or prior to the Event), BAL and its agents may, at their sole discretion, declare that Ticket Holder’s Ticket void and BAL and its agents may refuse that Ticket Holder admission to the Event or remove that Ticket Holder from the Event.

11. Neither the Ticket Holder nor any person associated with them (other than BAL or its agents) is entitled to assign, donate, transfer or otherwise dispose of the Ticket itself or any rights arising from the Ticket to any third party.  In particular, but without limitation, a Ticket Holder may not:

(a) sell, resell, expose, offer or make available for sale, auction, donate or otherwise dispose of Ticket(s) in any manner or place whatsoever, including, without limitation, online via an online auction website or online ticket resale marketplace; and/or

(b) transfer or use a Ticket for:

(i) advertising, sales or promotional purposes;         

(ii) premium give-aways, competitions, prize draws or sweepstakes; or       

(iii) hospitality or travel packages.

12. In the event of a conflict between the Conditions and the Venue Conditions, the Conditions shall prevail.

13. No briefcases, backpacks or large bags will be allowed at the Event.

14. No photographic, audio recording or audio-visual recording equipment is allowed at the Event (other than in the case of a person or entity who holds an appropriate license from BAL). Mobile phones and tablet devices are permitted, but Ticket Holders are NOT permitted to use them to photograph, record and/or transmit the Event in any capacity. Copyright in any unauthorised photograph, (audio and/or audio-visual) recording and/or transmission of the Event (or any part of the Event) is assigned to BAL.

15. Please ensure mobile phones, tablet devices, smart watches, pagers, alarms of any kind and any other electronic devices which may disturb and/or disrupt the Event are switched off during the performance.

16. BAL/The O2 reserves the right to refuse admission to the Venue and/or the Event.

17. Security searches will take place.

18. Latecomers may not be admitted into the auditorium until a suitable break in the Event.19. Re-entry to The O2 will not be permitted without a Ticket and a wristband/security device.

20. Artists’ appearances at the Event are subject to change. BAL/ The O2 are under no obligation to provide a Ticket Holder with notice of any such changes.

21. Please note that strobe lighting, smoke effects and confetti cannons may be used during the Event. Ticket Holders with known medical conditions who may be susceptible to such effects are recommended to seek further advice.

22. BAL accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to any person or any property (including without limitation, any loss of the Tickets).

23. BAL shall have no liability whatsoever in relation to any competition, promotion or prize draw through which Tickets can be won.

24. BAL reserves the right at any time to withdraw, cancel or void any Ticket issued to the Event.

25. OFFICIAL BRITs DIAMOND DINING & AFTER SHOW PARTY: For the avoidance of doubt, all of the above Conditions (with the exception of clauses 15, 18, 19) shall also apply to (i) the BRITs Diamond Dining (“Dining”) & Official BRITs After Show Party (“Party”) at the 02, Intercontinental Hotel (“Party Venue”) and (ii) all Ticket Holders that have Tickets authorising them to attend Dining, the Party & Party Venue.

26. The Conditions shall be governed by English law, and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England

 

The O2 Arena: COVID-19 requirements

Keeping you safe at events.

We are so excited to be welcoming you back to The O2 for events again.

To continue to keep our visitors, staff and artists safe and provide the very best fan experience, we have implemented a number of important measures to reassure and protect everyone at The O2. These measures are implemented in accordance with the current advice and guidance from UK and local Government, and will be continually reviewed.

Please note that our Venue Terms and Conditions changed on 19 July 2021. The O2 is entitled to make such changes from time to time, as it considers necessary. The changes apply to all ticket holders, including those who purchased tickets before 19 July 2021. Please refer to our updated Venue Terms and Conditions here.

At present all future events in October and November will require presentation of the NHS COVID Pass.

Ticketholders will now be required to present their NHS COVID Pass on entry to The O2 arena in order to gain access to events and to help us to reduce the risk of spread of COVID-19. This will entail a visual check on entry for one of the following certifications (as evidenced via the NHS COVID Pass): vaccine status, a negative test result, or COVID immunity. Self-declared exemptions will be permitted. 

If you are taking a Lateral Flow test please register the result on the NHS app and you’ll receive a confirmation text which you’ll need to show to gain entry to the arena.

Failure to be able to produce the required certification will result in entry to The O2 arena being refused. Under 18's do not need to show the COVID Pass or show proof as advised by the NHS, but are still encouraged to test prior to the event.

We will continually review and assess this measure in line with the prevailing guidance.

The NHS COVID Pass is a certificate that demonstrates that you have at least one of the following:

  • You have completed a full course of vaccination at least 14 days ago
  • You have received a negative PCR or lateral flow test result within 36 hours of the event
  • You have proof of natural immunity by way of a positive PCR test at least 180 days ago

You can create and present your NHS COVID Pass via the NHS App (including a downloadable pdf), on the NHS.UK website or as a paper letter, which can be requested through the NHS.UK website or by ringing 119. We will accept all of these forms of certification at The O2 arena, and will undertake a visual check at the arena doors to confirm validity. Limited evidenced exemptions will be permitted, including for those under 18 years of age.

If you are taking a test in order to gain the NHS COVID Pass:

PCR test kits can be ordered to be sent to your home address or you can book an appointment at a walk-in or drive-through test site. Both can be done via: https://www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test

Lateral Flow test kits can be ordered online through the government website https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests or picked up from your local pharmacy.

We will be requiring all staff working at the event to demonstrate evidence of a negative lateral flow test before coming onto site.

We are encouraging all visitors to be responsible and to continue to wear a face covering during their visit to The O2, particularly while moving around the venue and in busy spaces like the arena concourses.

We have partnered with Lifebuoy to become Official Hand Sanitiser of The O2 with free sanitiser stations placed across the venue, and encouraging good hygiene practices by all visitors.

We have introduced an air purification system throughout the arena with our Official Specialist Hygiene Services partner Rentokil Initial whose VIRUSKILLER™ technology removes and kills 99.9999%* of all airborne bacteria and viruses**, including Coronavirus.

The O2 arena also has an advanced air filtering system with established quality control measures. Fresh air is brought in at ground level and rises into the arena bowl roof in four locations before being distributed throughout the arena, with stale air exhausted through the arena roof via four extracting fans.

We have enhanced all cleaning regimes before, during and post event, sanitising all surfaces throughout The O2 including the arena and using long lasting cleaning solutions to reduce the risk of contact infections.

We have introduced a strict clear bag policy so we can carry out security screening contact-free. Only one see-through bag is allowed per person.

Finally, we are asking everyone to respect other visitors, keeping your distance where you can and appreciating we are all at different stages of comfort as the vaccinations and easing of restrictions are rolled out, so some people may still be apprehensive.

Thank you for your co-operation with these measures. We all have a part to play in helping beat the pandemic, and it’s important that we return to live events in the most socially responsible and secure way possible, so that we can continue to host the greatest live acts in the world at The O2.
