International rugby to resume in October as World Rugby Council approves temporary 2020 COVID-19 calendar - On 30 July ’20, the World Rugby Council approved a temporary adjustment to Regulation 9 to accommodate the release of international players for revised 2020 windows. The temporary global window will accommodate the completion of the 2020 men’s and women’s Six Nations Championships on 24 and 31 October, a rest weekend on 7 November and four consecutive rounds of international matches. England will host a series of Test matches at the home of England Rugby in autumn 2020. Twickenham Stadium will provide the stage for England to battle it out against some of their biggest rivals.
The series will open with an ever-anticipated clash against New Zealand, a first visit to Twickenham Stadium for the All Blacks since 2018. They will then host fellow Southern Hemisphere heavyweights Argentina and Australia in direct re-matches from Japan in 2019.
